2. Incorporating the roots of the famous store "Chiso" into the design. Brightly blooming red furisode

New furisode “Keika Benisai” (Chiso)

Haruki is an indispensable item for life events such as coming-of-age ceremonies and weddings. Its shapes, patterns, and colors are a condensation of Japanese tradition, making women shine beautifully. Each time, we will introduce a selection of masterpieces that incorporate the Japanese aesthetic sense and have been elevated to a modern style suitable for the Reiwa era.

A dramatic long-sleeved kimono with a modern pattern that unravels the brand's roots.

Even if you wear a long-sleeved kimono full of bright flowers at a ceremony, the red furisode is a special one that has three characteristics: ``young goat,'' ``gorgeous goat,'' and ``femininity.'' The ``Keikakosai'' long-sleeved kimono is a kimono that, when worn through the sleeves, has a black Keicho pattern on the body and beautiful seasonal flowers. This long-sleeved kimono attracts attention because of its combination of red, white, and black dyeing.

The furisode (furisode at the top of the photo), which is spread out over the kimono, has a three-dimensional motif with overlapping octagons. This boldly expressed geometric pattern gives off a modern feel among many classic patterns. This octagonal design was inspired by the ``Chikiridai'', which is also depicted in Chiso noren. The shikiridai is something dedicated to Kasuga Taisha Shrine's ``Wakamiya Onmatsuri.'' This comes from the history that Chiso's distant ancestor, before he started a kimono business, was a shrine carpenter who produced and dedicated this julienne table. In other words, it can be said that this long-sleeved kimono is a design and copy of Chiso's roots.

It goes without saying that the delicate brush strokes of Yuzen dyeing pay particular attention to detail, as well as several shibori techniques, as well as delicate embroidery, gold coloring, and foil placement as decorations, making this an elaborate masterpiece that gives a sense of depth. He makes full use of various dyeing techniques, and each piece shows the skill of each craftsman.

When looking at the outfit, pairing the obi with a light colored background such as a white background creates a gorgeous and elegant impression. Pairing it with a dark bag obi will tighten up a kimono with lots of colors and patterns, creating a sophisticated look that will give you a breather. If you match the intricate and detailed kimono pattern with the dynamic and clear pattern of the obi, it will create a well-balanced look. In the photo, the purple ground color is matched with a fukuro obi that depicts large Chinese flowers. When viewed from a distance, the way the space is arranged looks abstract, and it goes well with these exotic patterns.
