WABARA is a rose that has a gentle expression and supple strength, which is not found in the gorgeous roses produced in Europe and America. In 12 episodes, we will introduce the charm of WABARA, which is grown with care at Rose Farm Cage, a rose farm in Moriyama City, Shiga Prefecture, and Rose Farm Cage's efforts to coexist with nature.
WABARA “Aoi” is named after Kenichi’s eldest son. The love for roses is also reflected in the name. Kenichi says that there are times when he puts on a flower so that when he sees it for the first time, he hears a roar from the roses, and there are times when he creates words based on the scene where the flowers are displayed.
Everything in WABARA has a name. Keiji and Kenichi each have different naming methods. Keiji follows his instincts, while Kenichi often names things based on the scene or story.
We asked them about their favorite roses. Keiji answered that he doesn't have a specific rose because he only grows the roses he likes and they are all precious roses that he has grown. Specifically, he cited ``Temari,'' a rose that he felt had produced the rose he had envisioned. It was only after ``Temari'' was created that he decided to call it WABARA.
Kenichi listed three roses that were turning points for him. WABARA's signature rose, ``Misaki,'' is the complete opposite of a cut flower rose, with graceful stems, soft petals, and a scent, and is cherished as a rose that embodies WABARA's worldview. Aoi, who was born with the birth of Kenichi's first son, is also memorable. Roses are popular all over the world for their beautiful colors and natural appearance. His father Keiji's ``kaori kazari'' is a fusion of flower appearance and fragrance, and is a rose with the concept of decorating with fragrance. The beautiful fruit scent successfully overturns the conventional preconceptions of rose scents. WABARA's characteristics are reflected in each name.
