Can you read it? The traditional Japanese color "violet" is not pronounced "kin-iro"

What is the traditional Japanese color "violet"?

Violet is a deep bluish purple color derived from the color of violet flowers. This color name is not found in documents from the Heian period, so it is thought to have originated after that. Violets are known as small flowers that bloom in the spring, and have long been loved by Japanese people for their beauty and cuteness. Violet, which is said to have originated from the violet flower, is one of the colors that was used for costumes and decorations, especially during the Muromachi and Edo periods. The Muromachi period document "Shozoku-sho" describes colors based on violet that were used for clothing and costumes.

Violet = Sumireiro

In the Muromachi period, it referred to the color Hanada (a blue-based color), but in modern times it is familiar as the purple color of violets. "Sumireiro" is pronounced "sumireiro."
