Founded in Kyoto in 1555, Chiso has been creating Japanese beauty by creating kimonos and a variety of products based on inherited traditions. A men's line of kimonos has been released from the signature collection ``Flowers and Birds,'' which captures the beauty of nature with a modern sensibility and has been disseminated to the world.
``Hana to Tori to MEN'' proposes kimonos that can be enjoyed with a new sense of playfulness, and offers kimonos that are as gorgeous as women's kimonos.haute couture kimono,Long undergarment, kimonos and haori made from fabrics with gimmicky designs.ensemble, with a messageThe lining of the featherlineup.
Haute couture kimono "Paradise" 4,620,000 yen each (outer material price)
The haute couture kimono finished with hand-painted Yuzen has a gorgeous design that sets it apart from traditional kimonos for men. The way a single scene changes over time is expressed through the use of the vivid colors of the sun and the calmness of the moon.
Haori “Torikomon” / Kimono “Torikomon Stripe” 330,000 yen each (outer material price)
The two patterns are actually exactly the same. The impression of the pattern changes depending on the combination of colors used. Jay [Gray] Top left: Bird pattern, bottom right: Bird pattern, stripes
Haori and kimono are created by combining artisanal ground dyeing (brush dyeing) with printing technology that allows the motif to be expressed as small and precise as possible. The design is a series of silhouettes of birds flapping its wings, and the detailed pattern and color scheme give it the impression of a textile at first glance.
Nagajun undergarment (left) “Flowers and Birds” celadon/black (right) “Cattleya” ivory/gray 176,000 yen each (outer price)
A long undergarment that can be worn like a gown. Two designs are now available: ``Flowers and Birds,'' which depicts seasonal flowers blooming from a single tree, and ``Cattleya,'' an arrangement of orchids designed by Chiso during the Meiji period.
Feather lining (back of frame) “Iris” 88,000 yen (fabric price)
"iris"
"Botanical Garden"
"Aspiration"
I want to pay special attention to the feather lining because it is an invisible part. The “frame lining” is unique in that there is no seam in the center of the feather lining, allowing it to be wrapped in a single picture containing a message or story. The design includes "Iris", a powerful depiction of a hawk and irises, which is a standard motif for men, and "Botanical Garden", which is inspired by a colorful garden inhabited by endangered birds and plants, light and shadow, front and back. There are three types of ``Adoration'' that express a mysterious world inspired by the gap between.
A collection that combines outstanding technology and innovation. From classical to casual wear, why not enjoy wearing your own kimono?
