Founded in Madrid in 1846 as a workshop for leather craftsmen, Loewe has now grown into one of the world's leading fashion brands, and will be holding its first large-scale exhibition, "Loewe Crafted World: A World Woven by Craftsmen," in Harajuku, Tokyo from March 3th (Sat) to May 29th (Sun). Admission is free and requires a reservation.

The exhibition focuses on the handiwork that has shaped the brand's evolution, including its craft culture passed down through generations and its avant-garde approach to fashion.

In addition to art pieces, the venue will also display bags and clothing that appeared on the runway, as well as replicas of custom Loewe clothing worn by Beyonce and Taylor Russell.
Visitors can also experience the sights and sounds of Spain, have a front row seat to a Parisian catwalk and be immersed in the imaginative worlds that have inspired recent Loewe collections, including Studio Ghibli and Kyoto ceramics group Suna Fujita.

There will also be a special exhibition of works showcasing the collaborations and cultural projects that Loewe has undertaken both in Japan and abroad, including a documentary film about the Onishi family, who have been making tea kettles in Kyoto for over 400 years and who receive continuous support from the Loewe Foundation.
The exhibition celebrates the handcraft that is the very identity of Loewe, and explores its charm through iconic designs and cultural collaborations.
