KAI Tamazukuri is an inn located in Tamatsukuri Onsen, known as the oldest hot spring in Japan for its skin-beautifying hot springs. All of the rooms at KAI Tamazukuri have their own open-air bath. From Friday 3 March to Friday 28 April, the inn will be hosting a “Sakura Mau Tamayura Stay” event, which will allow guests to enjoy activities while the cherry blossoms are in bloom, including viewing the cherry blossoms at night from a rickshaw and taking a cherry blossom viewing bath.

The Tamayu River, which flows in front of Kai Tamatsukuri, is known as one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Shimane Prefecture, and in spring, 2 cherry trees bloom in full glory along a 400km stretch on both sides of the river, vividly decorating the hot spring town.

The "Sakura Dancing Tamayura Stay" offers a cherry blossom viewing experience activity limited to two groups per day, where you can view the night cherry blossoms of the Tamayu River from a rickshaw exclusive to Kai Tamazukuri. The hour-long tour around the hot spring town and the fantastic view of the illuminated cherry blossoms at night are sure to become a special memory of your trip.

If you are staying at the hotel, you can enjoy a cherry blossom viewing bath in the large open-air bath, which is decorated with colorful cherry blossoms in spring, a unique experience only available at this time of year. In addition, original handmade sakura mochi will be on sale in collaboration with Furyuudo, a long-established Japanese confectionery shop in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, which is counted among the three major Japanese confectionery places in Japan. You can choose your favorite from four types of bean paste and wrap it in dough that has cherry blossoms kneaded into it to create your own sakura mochi. There will also be a terrace decorated with a cherry blossom theme, and we recommend enjoying some sakura mochi over tea.
