Arita ware is Japan's first porcelain, and has been produced for 400 years. A free event to promote its appeal, "Jibani Ikiru," will be held at LIGHT BOX STUDIO AOYAMA in Aoyama, Tokyo from September 9th (Sat) to September 19st (Sat).

This exhibition conveys the charm and craftsmanship of the traditional Arita porcelain industry, while at the same time allowing people from various industries related to the Arita porcelain industry to speak in their own words about the current situation in which the continuation of production is in jeopardy due to a lack of successors and human resources, difficulty in securing raw materials, and rising fuel prices, and to consider the future of the industry and its succession. It is an exhibition, experience, and dialogue event.

The venue will feature the unique products of each pottery manufacturer on display and for sale, as well as a porcelain craftsmanship exhibition and experience corner, the Hizen-Arita Chopstick Rest Market where over 100 types of chopstick rests will be on display and for sale, and a variety of other content, including the creation, display and sale of one-of-a-kind goldfish-themed works.

There will also be a variety of events, including workshops where you can experience making chopstick rests and talk sessions introducing Arita ware, all of which do not require a reservation.
