Laboratoryy, represented by interior stylist Mitsuko Kuroda, has opened a new atelier and gallery in Kitakaruizawa, which lies at the foot of Mt. Asama, and will be open to the public by reservation only from August 8rd (Friday) to 23th (Sunday). During this period, a special exhibition called "unplugged / Top of the Mountain" will also be held to introduce the Swedish lighting brand "Wästberg", which is imported and sold by YAMAGIWA, a lighting company celebrating its 25st year since its founding.

The special exhibition will feature Fern (atelier) & Barn (gallery), which is built on a site with a total area of ​​approximately 1600 m550 (1950 tsubo). The building, an upcycled one-story mountain lodge from the XNUMXs, is surrounded by a lush garden with thriving red pines and white birches, and a new greenhouse has been built at the back of the garden.

The special exhibition "unplugged / Top of the Mountain" will display the Vastberg collection, which aims to provide "light that is comfortable for people", using all of Laboratoryy's spaces and grounds. Approximately 20 lighting fixtures will be introduced with interior styling that assumes various living scenes such as lounges, dining rooms, and workrooms, allowing visitors to enjoy the appeal of the products during the daytime and their beautiful light after sunset. YAMAGIWA staff will also be on hand during the exhibition.

In the quiet and tranquil surroundings of Kitakaruizawa, you can experience the beautiful lighting fixtures of Vastberg and the stylish interior styling of Laboratoryy for three days.
