"ECO EDO Nihonbashi 2024 - Enjoy the coolness of Edo with all five senses," where you can enjoy the charming streets and various "cool events" in a yukata, will be held in the Nihonbashi area until Sunday, September 2024, 9.
This annual summer event, now in its 16th year, will feature content perfect for enjoying in a yukata, such as the "ecoedo menu" to cool down with something to eat, "wind chime spots where you can hear and see the sounds of summer" and "'If it's sunny, sprinkle some water on it!' Nihonbashi," where you can experience cooling off with a traditional summer sight.
During the event, the Nihonbashi Yukata Station will be open, offering a yukata dressing and rental service. Not only can you enjoy wearing a yukata even if you come to Nihonbashi empty-handed, but they will also introduce you to stores in the Nihonbashi area where you can purchase yukata, so you can purchase the yukata of your choice.
Additionally, over 100 stores in the Nihonbashi area will be offering "ecoedo menus" that include cool sweets perfect for this time of year, summer-only menu items such as chilled crab somen noodles, and summertime goods that have been popular since the Edo period.
Don't miss the "Summer Wind Chime Spot," a popular photogenic spot for cooling off every year. This year, it will be available in two locations: the Forest Wind Chime Path next to Fukutoku Shrine, and Keyaki Square at COREDO Muromachi Terrace. Around 2 Edo wind chimes are lined up along the path leading from Fukutoku Shrine to Fukutoku Forest, and are lit up at night. We recommend wearing a yukata and enjoying a magical night stroll.
