Hara Museum of Art ARC in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture is located in the ``center of Japan'', connecting the northernmost point of Cape Soya in Hokkaido and the southernmost tip of Cape Sata in Kagoshima Prefecture, among the four major islands of Japan. The exhibition will be held from Saturday, March 2024, 3 to Sunday, September 16, 9, with an exhibition of carefully selected works mainly from the Hara Museum Collection and the Hara Rokuro Collection.

Hara Museum ARC is an art museum that consolidates the activities of the Hara Museum (Shinagawa, Tokyo) and the annex Hara Museum ARC (Shibukawa, Gunma) in 2021. Unlike the Hara Museum, which focused on temporary exhibitions, this museum mainly holds exhibitions of contemporary art and oriental antique art.

This exhibition will display all 12 works of Tokihiro Sato's ``Light-Breathing'' created using the Hara Museum and Hara Museum ARC as motifs (all 5 works are exhibited at the Hara Museum's last exhibition ``Light-Breathing XNUMX People Who Skip Time''). In addition to the works on display), there will also be an art experience that is like a time art that is accompanied by the rich nature and its changes, such as the sparkle of sunlight, the formation of clouds, the scent of plants and the chirping of birds, and works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Robert Mapplethorpe, Yayoi Kusama, and others. It is possible to exhibit a number of works that have been collected based on exchanges and relationships of trust with artists from Japan and abroad, such as Arata Isozaki.

Why not enjoy a unique art experience in the ``center of Japan,'' which is neither Tokyo nor Kyoto?
